Before your visit

Time slots

In order to ensure that your visit is safe under the current conditions, we have had to reduce the number of visitors admitted at one time. Admission is therefore restricted to fixed periods of time (time slots). During this time you can visit the special exhibition FASHION?! and the hands-on children’s exhibition TRY YOUR HAND AT FASHION!. Please book your tickets for a specific time slot in advance! This will spare you the disappointment of not being admitted if you decide to visit the museum spontaneously.

A ticket entitles its holder to a single admission. Please be on time for your booked time slot. You will be admitted only during this time .

Contact information form

According to the Württemberg government Corona Ordinance (CoronaVO) of 23 June 2020 (in its latest amended version), museums must record contact information for all their visitors. This contact information is kept for a period of four weeks and then destroyed. The data collected must be transmitted to the competent authorities on request if this becomes necessary to trace possible infection routes. The data will not be used for any other purpose.

Contact information forms are available in the entrance area and must be filled out before you enter the building.
We recommend that you print out the document at home and bring it with you already filled out.

During your visit

Hygiene and distancing rules

If you feel ill, please stay at home. Guests suffering from a COVID-19 infection or showing other signs of illness such as coughing or sneezing will not be admitted.

Mouth and nose protection must be worn during your visit. This rule applies to all areas of the Württemberg State Museum.

Persons who for health reasons cannot wear a mouth and nose protector require a medical certificate.

Children under 6 years of age do not need a mouth and nose protector. We do, however, ask parents for their special attention and consideration.

Disinfectant dispensers are available for your convenience. You can also wash your hands in our sanitary facilities. Please cough or sneeze only into the crook of your arm or into a handkerchief.

Maintaining a distance of 1.5 metres to other visitors and staff is obligatory at all times and on all premises. Avoid forming queues or groups at all times.

Unfortunately eating is not permitted on the site.

The audio guides that are handed out to you will be disinfected by the staff after return.

Information about the exhibitions

The exhibitions have been adapted with the support of BAD Gesundheitsvorsorge und Sicherheitstechnik GmbH. Our comprehensive hygiene concept is continuously being updated. Interactive stations are cleaned several times a day.

General information

Safety – yours and that of our employees – is very important to us. Please understand that we will make use of our domiciliary right to enforce our rules for visitors if instructions are not followed.
